Deaushay Watts joined Sunland in 2017 as a Site Manager supporting an automotive OEM operation in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Through a series of progressively responsible leadership roles, Deaushay has continued to grow his impact across the organization, positioning him to expand his leadership into People & Culture.
With more than 20 years of leadership experience, Deaushay has built high-performing teams, developed leaders, and delivered organizational results through operational excellence and continuous improvement.
In his expanded role, Deaushay will continue leading Operations, Safety, and the Sunland Management System (SMS) while also assuming responsibility for People & Culture, helping align talent, culture, and business strategy to support Sunland’s continued growth.
A U.S. Army veteran, Deaushay served ten years in the military, including a deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He holds a Master of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management, and is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
Outside of work, Deaushay enjoys spending time with his wife and children, learning the game of golf, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys as a lifelong fan.
