Sunland Logistics Solutions announces the expansion of its Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) Warehousing Services in the Southeast. The growing third-party logistics provider (3PL) will be activating 732,500 SF of FTZ space in the Greenville, SC market in its Simpsonville location near I-85.
A U.S. Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) is a designated location in the United States where companies can import, store, handle, manufacture, or re-export goods without being subject to U.S. Customs duties until the goods enter U.S. commerce. These zones are intended to encourage economic activity and investment in the U.S. by reducing costs associated with importing and exporting.
Due to recent shifts in U.S. global trade strategy—particularly the rise in tariffs and trade policy volatility—importers and exporters are increasingly seeking Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) warehousing space to mitigate financial risk and improve supply chain flexibility.
As shared by Hari Sivaprakasam, Sunland’s President & COO, “Sunland’s expanded Foreign Trade Zone is designed to provide our customers with solutions that will help them adjust to shifting global trade policies. This investment is in alignment with our Destination 2028 Growth Strategy initiative to increase Sunland’s port logistics services and strengthen our position as a leading strategic 3PL partner in the Southeast for importers and exporters.”
